Coached Swim Workouts
What
A 60 minute swim workout for swimmers aged 12 and above. Coached sessions led by Masters Swimmer and former swim coach Clint Bohlen and are held between September and July. During June Mark Kinney and others will be coaching. Each week you will be be coached in an aerobic swim workout that includes all strokes, using a structured format (warm-up, drill/prep set, main set, and cool down).
Beginning in July there will be coached swim sessions at Presque Isle Harbor in preparation for the FOPP Open Water Swim in August.When
7am-8am Saturday mornings.

Why
Be encouraged, get better, get stronger, have fun! This is a stroke development and refinement program, not swim lessons. Be prepared to grow and improve as an all-around swimmer!

Cost
The registration fee is $5 which can be paid at the life guard table at the pool, or by arrangement with Friends of Plaza Pool.Prerequisites
Each new swimmer will be asked to complete an evaluation swim with Coach Bohlen. At this session, everyone will swim a 100-yard freestyle for time. Also, we will be evaluating skill levels for lane assignment purposes.

Occasionally this weekly workout program will be augmented with educational and social opportunities. Additional activities to develop nutritionally, athletically and overall wellness will be made available to all participants.
